Dmitriy Medvedev appraised the effectiveness of ITS implementation based on GLONASS.

Within the constraints of the session of State Counsil of Russian Federation, which took place yesterday in Uljanovsk city, realized projects on implementation of Intellectual Transport System (ITS) based on GLONASS was shown to President of Russian Federation, Dmitriy Anatoljevich Medvedev.

During the presentation, GLONASS principal designer, CEO and principal designer of JSC "Russian Space Systems", Yuri Matevich Urlichich demonstrated examples of successful work of system in various Russian cities, including Dubna, Norilsk and Olympic Sochi.

Yuri Urlichich made a point of President to high social significancy and economic benefit of ITS, developed by "M2M Telematics" LLC. Intellectual system offers operational coordination and quality improvement of all kind transport work, as well as informing road users about organization of transport services.

Project "ERA GLONASS" - system of urgent response in event of a fault based on home-produced multifunction receiving equipment, analogue to European system e-Call, was shown to President, too.

According to Alexander Gurko, President & CEO of JSC "Navigational-Information Systems" and "M2M Telematics" LLC, Dmitriy Medvedev noticed the activity of both companies, Russian specialists intension on developing and serial production of GLONASS based equipment, as well as massive implementation of native navigation systems in Russia.
